Rice County Woman Injured in Horse Accident

Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn reports deputies were dispatched this morning to 4707 Dent Avenue in Webster Township about 8:35 concerning a horse accident.

The 31 year old woman was moving horses between pastures when one of them was startled and knocked her to the ground.  It is believed the horse then stepped on her back.  The woman was transported by ground ambulance to the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis for non-life threatening injuries.

Sheriff Dunn says his office was assisted by the Lonsdale Police Department, Lonsdale Fire and Rescue and Northfield Ambulance on scene.

No details were released about the number of horses being moved.
