Two township elections had ties and Morristown Township voters voted to move their election to coincide with the state and federal elections.

That change takes effect this November.  The results to the question on the Morristown Township ballot, "Shall the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November be designated as the date of the Morristown Township general election?

16 yes votes, 3 no votes.  Other results, Supervisor Andrew Wagner 18 votes, Clerk, Erin Duhme 19 votes.  The estimated population of the community is 616.

Bridgewater Township- Supervisor Seat C: Frances Boehning, Michael Little, 76 votes each.  Supervisor Seat E: Nick Bolton, 97 votes, Mark Koktavy, 53 votes

Cannon City Township- Supervisor, Clayton Mechura, 24 votes, Write-ins, 2 votes.
Clerk- Marilyn Caron, 24 votes, Write-ins, 2 votes.

Erin Township- Supervisor, Joseph LeBrun, 61 votes, Write-ins, 5 votes.
Clerk- Sharon Kaisershot, 58 votes, Write-ins, 5 votes.
Question:  "Providing for the appointment of the clerk and treasurer by the town board?
No, 55 votes, Yes, 20 votes.

Forest Township- Supervisor special election, Daniel Deutsch, 41 votes  Supervisor, Larry Conrad, 39 votes, Write-ins 1 vote.

Northfield Township- Foster Transburg- 39 votes,

Richland Township- Clerk, Robert Sommers- 13 votes, Supervisor, 13 votes.

Shieldsville Township- Clerk, Susan Ceplecha-Novak, 34 votes, Supervisor, Andy Ernste, 36 votes.

Walcott Township- Clerk, Kourtney Spitzack, 28 votes, Supervisor, Tom Donkers, 27 votes.

Warsaw Township- Clerk, Debra Degrood, 24 votes, Supervisor, Andy Hopkins, 20 votes.

Webster Township- Supervisor, Erik Ekstrand, 81 votes, Dwayne Harnack, 71 votes, Paul Srba, 1 vote, Write-ins- 18.

Wells Township- Clerk, Gray Gunhovd, 17 votes, Supervisor (both write0ins) Jeff Lacanner, 1 vote, Brenda Pittman, 1 vote.

Wheatland Township- Clerk, James Duban, 49 votes, Supervisor, (all write-ins) Gary Pavek, 26 votes, Others- 20 votes.

Wheeling Township- Clerk, Mikela Medin, 22 votes, Supervisor, Mark Bongers, 22 votes.

Denise Anderson, Rice County Property Tax and Elections Director says results are unofficial until canvassed by the township's canvassing board.

According to state statute each township's canvassing board will determine the winner by lot.  The statute is silent on a method for making the determination.
