The Plato Bluejays and Sobieski Skis will square off for the Class C Minnesota State Amateur Baseball title Monday at 3:00 p.m. in New Prague.  The Bluejays ended the Faribault Lakers season Saturday night 1-0 while scoring the winning run on an error in the bottom of the ninth inning.  They then rolled by Hutchinson 6-1 before cruising by defending Class C Champion Kimball 12-5.

Sobieski downed New London-Spicer 5-2, dispatched Sartell 5-2 and edged Young America 2-1 to advance to the Labor Day title game.  The Skis lost in the 2016 championship game 5-4 to Raymond and won the 2014 title 2-0 over New Ulm.  In 2014 The Faribault Lakers fell to Sobieski in a thriller and obviously had a great game with Plato this year.

Plato won the 2015 crown with a 14-6 win over Green isle and is hoping to notch their 4th title.  Sobieski has one title and this is their 20th trip to state.  Last year the Kimball Express defeated the Lake Henry Lakers 6-4.  It was their first title.  This year was their 12th state tournament appearance.
