Gone are the days when you only have 2 choices for M&M's®, plain or peanut. They now have almost any combination you can think of, and some you wouldn't necessarily think of when it comes to chocolate candies. Some of them may leave you scratching your head and wondering who came up with these flavor combinations?

I had to stop at the Big W yesterday, your friendly neighborhood big-box retailer, and I saw Pecan Pie flavored M&M's®. Pecan Pie. Now just let that sink in. I didn't buy them, although I almost did if only to try them. I am not sure how I feel about a pie flavoring in one of my favorite candies. Don't get me wrong, I like some of the newer flavors, caramel, the coffee nut ones, and my favorite would have to be peanut butter. But Pecan Pie?

Some of the other flavors I have seen include;

  • Candy Corn
  • White Pumpkin Pie
  • Halloween Cookies and Screeem
  • Neopolitan

These are all seasonal flavors and not available at every retailer. I have tried the Candy Corn flavored ones, and yes, you need to like Candy Corn to even want to try them. I found those at Target, in the seasonal aisles.

What's next? Pumpkin Spice M&M's®? Oh wait, they have those. Candy Apple? Easter Sundae? Yep, they have those too. You can see several of them here. Remember, not all of these are available in Minnesota, but, I am sure you can order them online. Have they gone too far? Once they hit Christmas Dinner flavored M&M's®, then yes, they have gone too far.
