Owatonna Foundation Makes $20,000 Donation to Local Efforts
The Owatonna Foundation has made two generous donations to Community Pathways (formally the Steele County Food Shelf) and to SEMCAC.
The humanitarian donations that were made towards the COVID-19 crisis reflect the "improving the quality of life for present and future generations" portion of our mission statement and were done in the best interest of the people and our community.
According to a press release sent out, the Owatonna Foundation issued $10,000 in aid to Community Pathways and $10,000 to SEMCAC for meals to elderly shut ins. While the Foundation normally issues grants for "capitol" and "brick and mortar" projects to local 501 c3 non profits, they decided to make this unique exception based on the unforeseen circumstances being faced due to COVID-19.
The Owatonna Foundation is still continuing to issue scholarships, respond to grant request, and is still 100% committed to the continued improvement of the community.
