The Lakeville North Panther girls golf team rolled to win the Section 1AAA golf tournament at Cannon Golf Club in Cannon Falls today.  The Panthers nearest competitor was Northfield and they were 46 strokes back.  Junior Molly Stevens of Northfield did win medalist honors while carding a two day 36 hole total 143.  The score was 8 strokes better than Winona senior Lexi Partington.

Lakeville North placed three girls in the top 7 and will participate at next week's state tournament in Coon Rapids.  The Faribault Falcons placed 10th and the Owatonna Huskies 12th out of the 12 teams competing.  Lakeville South was third.  Rochester John Marshall, Rochester Century and Rochester Mayo placed 5th, 6th and 7th.

Other top finishers include: senior Megan Welch of Lakeville North (3rd), freshman Emma Welch of Lakeville North (4th),  senior Erin O'Hara of Rochester Mayo (5th), junior Jessica Smith of Lakeville South (6th) and sophomore Olivia Plotnik of Lakeville North (7th).

Stevens was a model of consistency with a 71 on the opening day and a 72 Monday.

The Falcons best score was turned in by senior Ally McCoshen with a 94 Monday, 5 strokes better than the first day of the Section Tournament.  Sophomore Rachel Bostwick was the only other Faribault girl to advance to the second day of competition.  Bostwick shot a 93 the first round and 104 the second.
