First Minnesota High School Boys Basketball Rankings

The Faribault Falcons and Northfield Raiders collide on the hardwood in Northfield Tuesday, December 9, 2025 on KDHL Radio, 920 AM, 97.9 FM, worldwide on the FREE KDHL app.

The Falcons are ranked #10, Raiders #13 in the first coaches association poll of the season released recently.

Northfield had a lead , but fell to #4 Class 3A Mankato East. Faribault fought tough but also lost to the Cougars by 10 points.

Elsewhere in Class 3A the Austin Packers are #15 and opened their season with a convincing 81-60 home win over Faribault/

Goodhue has a target on their back in Class 2A with the #1 ranking.  Hiawatha Valley League opponent Lake City is #8.  Waseca #10, Belle Plaine is 11th, Rushford-Peterson #14.

In Class 1A Gopher Conference team Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton is #5.

Class 4A has three South Suburban schools in the top 11 with Prior Lake #7, Apple Valley #9, and Eagan #11.  Rochester Mayo is #10, making five Big Nine Conference schools among the state's elite in boys basketball.
