Adofo-Mensah was in Minnesota all-day Tuesday for an interview and then had dinner with team officials before finalizing a deal Wednesday morning, according to ESPN's Courtney Cronin and Adam Schefter.

Adofo-Mensah has a degree in economics from Princeton and a master’s degree in economics from Stanford. He did not come up through the scouting ranks but came up through the use of analytics, and using that information to put a talented roster together.

Adofo-Mensah worked for the San Fransico 49ers as a manager of football research and development before being hired by the Cleveland Browns. He spent two seasons with the Browns as their VP of Football Operations. In Cleveland, he learned scouting and contract negotiations under General Manager Andrew Berry.

The new Vikings GM started his working career in finance as an associate portfolio manager and was vice president/executive director as a commodities trader, according to Pro Football Network, before getting into the NFL in 2013.

Adofo-Mensah will replace Rick Spielman who was the GM of the Vikings for 16 seasons.

The First Order of Business for the New Vikings GM

The first big task for Adofo-Mensah will be to hire the next Minnesota Vikings head coach. Mike Zimmer was fired after the 2021 season, and the next coach will have the task to work with an offense centered around Justin Jefferson and Dalvin Cook.

Names that have been could be on the top of Adofo-Mensah's list include 49ers Defensive Coordinator DeMeco Ryans, Rams Offensive Coordinator Kevin O'Connell, and Rams Defensive Coordinator Raheem Morris.

Expect interviews for the next Vikings Head Coach to increase this week.

Cheapest House For Sale in Minnesota is the Definition of Bargain Shopping

This house is really the definition of bargain shopping. Whoever makes the move on this southern Minnesota home will have their work cut out for them, and that is just the cleanup. You may remember last year when the cheapest house for sale was filled with mystery trash bags. While this one isn't filled with trash bags, its basement is filled with graffiti. Check it out for yourself below.
