The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources reminds preople of some upcoming rate increases effective this Saturday, July 1. One-day state park vehicle permits will increase by $2 to $7. The year-round vehicle permits will cost $35 starting Saturday, an increase of $10.

Starting July 1, the fee to register all-terrain vehicles and snowmobiles will increase and there will be a $15 license needed for ice shelters that do not collapse, fold or disassemble.

Next year during the 2018 license year, the cost of a resident fishing license will increase from $22 to $25. A resident deer license will increase from $30 to $34.

In other DNR news, active military personnel in any branch or unit of the United States Armed Forces and veterans with a service-related disability are now eligible to re receive a free year-round vehicle permit to all Minnesota state parks and recreation areas.
