Minnesota parents, today is the day you want to pause life and have a little one-on-one chat with your kids.  The latest Tik Tok challenge has already put a few teenagers in the hospital and one teenager has unfortunately passed away.

What's the latest Tik Tok Challenge?  It's been labeled the "Benadryl Challenge" and basically encourages people using the Tik Tok app to take an excessive amount of Benadryl.  The amount isn't a set number but is a dose high enough that the user will experience hallucinations.

A 15 year-old in Oklahoma has passed away and according to Newsweek.com, the latest Tik Tok Challenge is to blame.  In May, three teenagers in Texas were all hospitalized after attempting the challenge.  You can read their full story here.

Parents, I'm not here to tell you that your kids should or shouldn't be on Tik Tok.  I've seen kids practicing their dances in the middle of the parking lot by Texas Roadhouse and having fun.  When we are in the middle of a pandemic, it is nice to see kids smiling and laughing again, or I am guessing that they are smiling under their masks.  But, I will tell you that I was a parent who thought we had everything in place to keep our kids safe on the internet - I was wrong.  We weren't faced with Tik Tok challenges but we were face-to-face with pedophiles that were speaking with my child

From one parent to another, please take the time to talk with your kids about this latest Tik Tok challenge and know what your kids are doing online.
