Everything in life has advantages and disadvantages. The advantage of hosting Thanksgiving dinner is that you control the leftovers. The disadvantage is the stress that comes with planning it and pulling it all off.

For the second year, Twin Cities chefs will be on-call the Thursday before Thanksgiving to help with those hosting friends and family on turkey day this year. Topics will include appetizers, main courses, drinks, and desserts.

We're all probably familiar with the Butterball turkey hotline (1-800-BUTTERBALL in case you need it), but the Minnesota version is more about pre-planning a week ahead of time.

The Minnesota Turkey-Day hotline is staffed by Twin Cities chefs, who despite their busy schedule, look forward to helping the rest of us generate ideas and solve Thanksgiving meal problems.

In year two, instead of only focusing on the main dishes, the hotline also has experts scheduled to discuss appetizers, drinks, and desserts. Mmmmmmm.
