Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension In Morristown For Death Investigation
According to a news release from the Rice County Sheriff's Office, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is on the scene in Morristown investigating a death scene. The Rice County Sheriff's Office received a call for service early this morning in Morristown regarding a disturbance.
According to the press release, the Rice County Sheriff's Office at 12:41AM, this morning, was sent to a disturbance call in the City of Morristown. "Upon arriving on the scene the Patrol Deputies made contact with a male at the residence who stated a person was badly injured. The Patrol Deputies located a deceased male. One adult male was taken into custody. There is no perceived threat to the public at this time. This is still a very active investigation. The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is processing the scene."
A person was booked this morning into the Rice County Jail on charges of murder without premeditation with a firearm, that person's name will be withheld pending formal charges.
There was no further update at this time as to where in Morristown this occurred.
