Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas Eve and are enjoying Christmas with family and friends. Louise and I are enjoying a nice quiet Christmas this year. My family got together a couple weeks ago in Sioux Falls with my Mom. With 6 brothers and sisters and their extended family and traditions, we found it works best to pick a weekend before or after Christmas to get together.

I guess to our immediate

family, Christmas is when and where we get together, even if it is not actually on Christmas. I suspect many other families are doing the same thing. Back in my Dad's generation many families lived not far from where they grew up. The world is a much smaller place for our children as they are much more mobile. I told Louise if we ever do have grandchildren, I will be happy if they are in the United States!
