Mayo Already Using Its Coronavirus Test

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Mayo Clinic is already using its recently developed COVID-19 test.
Mayo announced the new test last week .
Mayo spokeswoman Heather Carlson Kehren says it was launched last Thursday to internal patients and to the general public on Friday. Since Thursday afternoon, over 500 COVID-19 tests have been performed at Mayo Clinic Laboratories in NW Rochester.
Kehren says the current capacity is 200-300 tests per day. She says Mayo hopes to soon increase that to 1,000 tests per day.
