Maxwell Robert Wilson, age 14, of Lakeville, MN, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, following injuries sustained in an accident on June 3, 2024.

Maxwell Robert was born on February 6, 2010, the son of Jody Hayson and Chad Wilson. With his baby blue eyes and infectious smile, Max loved his life and all the people in it. Whether he was on the ski hill, fishing, at a Twins game, watching any sport on TV while shoving candy wrappers in the couch, or just shooting hoops alone at home in the driveway, Max always had a smile on his face. Max loved to travel; to the cabin, a trip to Miami, a cruise to the Mexican Riveria and countless softball diamonds to watch his sister play ball. He was her biggest supporter and fan.

No matter where he went, he found and made friends, almost instantly. Max thrived on helping others. Countless times playing with his younger cousins, teaching them how to play sports and would often help special education students in school. Max consistently was trying to include everyone in a backyard football game, all while trying to make a knee slapper of jokes! Max’s biggest passion was football. His family moved to Lakeville specifically so he could play for the Lakeville North Panthers, and his end goal was of course to play for the Minnesota Vikings.

He is survived by his mother, Jody Hayson (husband, Ben Hayson), his father, Chad Wilson (wife, Heidi Inman); sister, Morgan Wilson; other siblings, Ava Adams, Spencer and Grant Hayson, and Brittany (Michael), Emma, and Alex Inman; grandparents, Regina Wilson, Angel and Richard Jeanes, and Jeff Serich; and so many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Steve Wilson; great grandparents, Shirley Cagle, Robert Bud Wilson, Stella Wilson, Margaret (Peg) Schorn, and Ron Schorn; and great great grandmother, Margaret Oppegard.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at Trinity Church, 10658 210th St. W., Lakeville, with Pastor Jason Maloney, officiating.
