Man Killed in Collision With Farm Machinery
Hutchinson, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Meeker County man was killed Saturday night when his car crashed into some farm machinery on a highway about five miles from his home.
The State Patrol says 62-year-old Kevin Erickson of Darwin was headed north on Highway 15 in an area north of Hutchinson when his car collided with a planter pulled by a tractor around 10:20 pm. Officials say the driver of the tractor had just pulled out onto the highway from a field approach and was also headed north.
Erickson was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 56-year-old rural Dassel man driving the tractor was not hurt.
