The Faribault Falcons were dropped out of the Minnesota Basketball News girls rankings released on Friday after some recent tough losses.

The Falcons recently have had trouble closing out games and Head Coach Bill Bardal says they want to be good at the end of the year.  Not at the holiday break.

The Northfield Raiders climbed to the #3 spot in Class 3A with Red Wing on their heels at #4.

In Class 1A Lyle-Pacelli is still on top and will be participating in the Hayfield Tournament next week with Kenyon-Wanamingo and Tri-City United.

The Vikings play the K-W Knights and it does count as a conference game while T-C-U and L-P tangle.

Hayfield is #5 in the Class 1A rankings so there could be a #1 vs #5 game in Hayfield Thursday, December 28 at 4:30 p.m. if the two teams win their games Wednesday.

Defending Champion Goodhue is #2 in Class 1A.

In Class 2A Stewartville is #11, Caledonia #16, Rochester Lourdes #17 and Winona Cotter #18.

In Class 4A Eastview is #2, Lakeville North #6 and Farmington #9.
