The Lakeville North Panthers held Farmington to 18 second half points in Rochester Thursday night to win the Section 1AAAA title 65-43.  It didn't look too good for the Panthers when the TIgers were up 17 to 5.  Lakeville North didn't panic and found their game forcing numerous Farmington turnovers in their third win over the fellow South Suburban Conference team this season.

5'9 sophmore Lauren Jensen scored 20 points and 5'10 junior Analiese Tschida added 17 points for Lakeville North.  The Panthers had a 33-25 lead at the half with Jensen and Tschida collecting 11 points each.

Farmington had 19 turnovers and Lakeville North 8 in the game and the Panthers scored 22 points to Farmington's 4 in the game.

The Tigers were 10 of 15 at the free throw line and the Panthers 8 of 9 .

Note: Audio of the game is available below.

Farmington's future looks very bright with some young players.  6'0 junior Kaitlin Winston led the Tigers with 12 points and senior Ellie Clayton added 10 points.

Whatever Panther Head Coach Shelly Clemons told her team after they were down 17-5 in the first half worked because they had the game turned around in very little time.

The coaches involved will seed the tournament this weekend.  Lakeville North is now 23-5 and Farmington ends their season 17-9.
