Kids Can Bowl Free All Summer in Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin

One of the best deals that parents can grab for their kids this summer is happening right now.  And trust me when I say this, you will WANT to grab it because it costs nothing and will be hours of entertainment for your kids.

A program called Kids Bowl Free has been around since 2007 and over 35 million kids have enjoyed free bowling all summer long because of it.  It is back for 2023 and registration is open right now.

Everything You Need to Know About the Kids Bowl Free Program

When I first heard of this program, I thought it was too good to be true.  If that is what is running through your mind right now, let me assure you that it isn't.  My kids have all been registered for Kids Bowl Free and honestly, it made the extremely hot days or the days full of rain a little bit more enjoyable.

Here are a few details about the Kids Bowl Free program to know:

    • This is a national program - so yes, if you are reading this and live outside of Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois, there is a good chance a bowling alley near you is also participating.
    • Kids that are registered can bowl two free games each day.
    • Age of Kids That Can Participate:  Participating bowling centers set their age limits, see the center registration page for more details.
      • If you are curious about the Rochester, Minnesota bowling alleys, Bowlocity's age limit is 2 to 15.  Colonial Lanes' age limit is 2 to 17.
    • When Does This Start?  Each bowling alley has listed their hours as well as the dates that this program is available.  Just check the center registration page for more details.
    • Are There Any Extra Fees?  Your child does need to wear bowling shoes so if you don't own those, those will need to be rented or purchased.  Some of the bowling alleys do offer a family pass and a punch card for shoes, which will help save additional money.
