Sam Hunt is one of country music's biggest stars right now, and he just announced he'll be heading to Minnesota this summer!

It's a little hard to wrap your head around in the middle of a cold, snowy Minnesota winter day, but here's something that will warm you up: Sam Hunt is headed to the Land of 10,000 Lakes this summer-- and he'll play a live show just a little over an hour away from Rochester!

That's right, Treasure Island Resort & Casino announced Friday morning (January 14th, 2022) that Sam Hunt is set to play outside in the TI Amphitheatre on Friday, July 8th. Opening for Sam will be Ryan Hurd (who, of course, is married to fellow country superstar, Maren Morris.)

Here are more details, courtesy of a release from Treasure Island:

Minnesota’s premier entertainment and gaming destination, Treasure Island Resort & Casino, is proud to welcome American Music Award-winner and top-selling country music superstar Sam Hunt to the Treasure Island Amphitheater on July 8, 2022. Special guest and country music singer and songwriter Ryan Hurd will accompany Hunt and take the stage as his opening act. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7pm CST.

Tickets will go on sale to the public Friday, January 21 at 10am CST and will be available for purchase at TIcasino.com. Reserved seats will be available for $119, $89, $72.50 and $57. General admission seating will be sold for $42.50.

The release also noted that Sam Hunt's show is the first in a series of soon-to-be-announced shows that will make up Treasure Island Resort & Casino’s 2022 Summer Concert Series. Along with Hunt, this summer’s lineup will feature performances from some of music’s biggest entertainers and promises to appeal to fans of all music genres.

And, of course, Scotty McCreery will also be playing a show at TI; it's coming up on February 4th at 8 pm in the Island Events Center.
