County fair season is off and running across southern Minnesota. This week, it's time for the Rice County Fair in Faribault.

The 2023 Rice County Fair runs this Wednesday (7/19) through Sunday (7/22) at the Rice County Fairgrounds in Faribault.

It's five big days of food, fun, attractions, entertainment, rides, music, competitions, grandstand events and more.

The Rides

There are no 'Passport to Fun' passes being sold in 2023, so here's the daily scoop on the rides & midway this year.

  • Wednesday: Midway opens at 1:00 pm
    Arm Bands - $30 per person (unlimited rides 1pm to 8pm)
  • Thursday: Kiddy Midway opens at 10:30 am, Midway opens at 1:00 pm
    Arm Bands - $30 per person (unlimited rides 1pm to 8pm)
  • Friday: Midway opens at 12 pm
    Arm Bands -$30 per person  unlimited rides 12pm to 8pm)
  • Saturday: Midway opens at 12 pm
    Arm Bands - $30 per person (unlimited rides 12pm to 8pm)
  • Sunday: Midway opens at 1 pm
    Arm Bands - $30 per person (unlimited rides 1pm to 7pm)

The Grandstand

2023 grandstand ticket pricing $15 for ages 13 and up. $10 for kids 6 to 12. Kids 5 and under get in free.

  • Wednesday, July 19th: Enduro Auto Races at 6:00 pm.
  • Thursday, July 20th: Midwest All-Star Wrestling at 6:30 pm.
  • Friday, July 21st: Barnes PRCA Rodeo at 7:00 pm.
  • Saturday, July 22nd: UPM Truck & Tractor Pull at 7:00 pm.
  • Sunday, July 23rd: Demolition Derby at 4:00 pm.

Magic shows, bingo, horse shows, daily prize drawings, vendors & exhibitors, 4H and FFA exhibits, tons of live music, beer garden -- the list goes on and on, and you can visit the Rice County Fair website here for all the details.
