The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6:00 pm tonight through noon Tuesday for a portion of southern Minnesota.

Included in the Winter Weather Advisory are Freeborn, Steele, and Waseca Counties (+more).

Snow will ramp up and spread eastwards today, with the highest rates and most accumulation through this afternoon in southwestern Minnesota. Snow spreads eastwards this evening and overnight.

Additionally, a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for Dodge, Mower, Olmsted, Wabasha, and Winona Counties.
