Minnesota Woman Hits Massive Poker Jackpot at Treasure Island
The classic Kenny Rogers song, The Gambler, says you've got to know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em. Well, one Minnesota woman knew that and more, as she just won over $159,000 playing poker at Treasure Island Resort and Casino!
St. Paul Woman Wins $159,990 Treasure Island Poker Jackpot
While we know it doesn't always pay off, many of us here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes are willing to play the odds and plunk down a few dollars on some form of gaming or gambling. According to this Gambling in Minnesota study from the Department of Human Services, over two-thirds of Minnesota adults enjoy taking part in some form of gambling.
Specifically, nearly 67 percent of Minnesotans in the survey reported gambling over the past year, including purchasing lottery tickets and participating in other gaming activities. A smaller percentage reported heading to one of Minnesota's casinos; about 15 percent reported that they gambled at a casino or other venue at least once in the past year, the survey noted.

And a woman from St. Paul is sure glad she tried her luck recently at Treasure Island Resort & Casino (TI). A release from TI says that the woman won a whopping $159,990 Monday morning, hitting the casino’s largest Ultimate Texas Hold’em progressive jackpot in nearly three years.
Royal Flush in Spades Delivers Massive Treasure Island Jackpot
A royal flush in spades was the lucky hand that led to her progressive win, which was the largest at Treasure Island since another lucky winner claimed a $157,322 jackpot on Nov. 25, 2023. TI says the St. Paul woman also added $7,500 to her total from the blind payout, pushing her total winnings to $159,990.
The massive jackpot is Treasure Island’s fifth-largest Texas Hold'em jackpot overall in 2026, TI said. The only larger jackpot wins this year were a $259,644 Blackjack Match progressive that hit in April — the second-largest table games jackpot in the casino’s history — and a $217,490.25 bad beat poker jackpot that hit for the first time in two years on Valentine’s Day.
