According to the Minnesota DNR, Southeast Minnesota has a significant number of days when we experience some pretty high temperatures during the summer.  The hot, sticky, humid air that makes all of us uncomfortable - yep, those are the days that require a quick dip in the pool or lake.  Splashpads are a fun alternative for families (and a lot easier when you've got littles, too!).

If you need help figuring out where to cool off once that hot air hits, check out the pools and beaches below for the best swimming spots near the Rochester, Minnesota area.

15 Meats (and a few Animal Body Parts) That Are Illegal To Grill in Minnesota

One easy way to make your neighbors jealous is to fire up the grill. That smell fills the air and will make your next-door friend wonder why they weren't invited.
