Sad Announcement From Local Spot To Get Flowers, Plants, and Vegetables in Southeast Minnesota
As everyone is getting their gardens and flower pots ready for the 2026 summer, there is one location that sadly will not be open. So many people have made stops at this location for fresh produce throughout the years, but after about 10 years, Green Dot Produce Plus in Spring Valley is no longer open for business.
Earlier this year, a note showed up on the Green Dot Produce Plus Facebook page with this unfortunate news to its guests:

Friends & customers: It is bittersweet that we announce the closing of Green Dot Produce Plus. The past ten years have been a wonderful experience. However, the past two years have been difficult with rising supply costs and Mother Nature not cooperating. Therefore, we had to make the difficult decision to close our business. We are very thankful for your support and friendship. But...we aren't going anywhere! Dorothy and Christine have a NEW business venture creating greeting cards, stickers, puzzles, bookmarks and more! Check out their page H&M Creations. We look forward to seeing you at craft shows and events. Cheers to a wonderful 2026. With appreciation, Dorothy & Scott - Green Dot Produce Plus Facebook Page
