
Former Waseca Prison Guard Indicted on Sex Abuse Charges
Waseca, MN (KROC-AM News) - A former prison guard has been accused of engaging in or attempting to engage in sexual acts with several female inmates at a federal facility in southern Minnesota.
Federal Grand Jury Indictment Announced
A statement issued Wednesday afternoon by the U.S. Attorney's Office for Minnesota says 30-year-old Albert Victor Freeman has been indicted by a federal grand jury on three counts of sexual abuse of a ward. He appeared before a federal judge in Minneapolis on the charges today.

Accused of Sexual Misconduct Involving Female Inmates
The news release says Freeman allegedly engaged in sexual activity or attempted to engage in sexual acts with three inmates he was responsible for guarding at the Federal Correctional Institution in Waseca. The incidents alleged in the indictment occurred in June of this year.
Facility Houses Nearly 800 Offenders
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the Waseca prison is a low-security correctional institution that currently houses more than 780 female offenders.

The charges against the former federal correctional officer are the result of an investigation by the Department of Justice's Office of the Inspector General.
