It happened shortly after 2:00 Thursday morning. The State Patrol said the road was wet at the time of the rollover.

First responders were dispatched to the crash along I-90 on Alden Township, which is about 12 miles west of Albert Lea. The state crash report indicates the semi was traveling east when the truck driver lost control and the truck rolled onto its side.

Dangane was buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash, the report says. The Albert Lea Fire Department and Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the crash.

Thursday morning's crash was one of hundreds reported in a 12-hour span across Minnesota. Travel became difficult throughout the southern part of the state thanks to the first winter weather blast to hit the area in about a month.
