Albert Lea, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Missouri woman was hurt after a pick-up truck she was riding in left the road while hauling a livestock trailer on I-35 in Freeborn County Tuesday evening.

The State Patrol’s incident report says the pick up, operated by 26-year-old Kole Fulton of Lincoln, Missouri, was traveling north on the interstate when it left the road about two miles north of Albert Lea. The freeway had snow and ice on it when the crash occurred shortly before 7:20 p.m.

One of the passengers, identified as 25-year-old Shelby Sprinkle, suffered what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. She went to the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Albert Lea for further treatment.

Fulton and a second passenger in the vehicle were not hurt. The state crash report indicates none of the occupants were buckled up at the time of the crash. 

Troopers say alcohol was not a factor in causing the crash. The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and Clarks Grove Fire Department also responded to the wreck.
