Burnsville, MN (KROC-AM News) - A statewide alert has been issued for a missing Minnesota man with dementia.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension issued the alert Monday afternoon at the request of the Burnsville Police Department. It says 85-year-old Jack Kilby was last seen leaving his residence in Burnsville around 11 AM.

The alert indicates he was going to his bank but never arrived. Investigators were able to determine that he made a purchase at a convenience store in Lakeville around 2:30 PM, but his direction of travel after he left is unknown.

Officials say Kilby is driving a silver-gray 2014 Honda CRV with Minnesota license plate NBA 345. He was wearing a navy blue jacket and blue The keys pants when he was last seen.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the Burnsville Police Department at 651-322-2323.
