That’s according to the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office. A news release says deputies responded to the shooting shortly after 4:15 p.m. Monday.

The shooting was reported by the victim’s son, who called 911 and said he had shot his father in the arm. The 911 call came from a mobile home park in Eagle Lake, which is about eight miles east of Mankato.

Upon arrival a deputy and Minnesota State Trooper rendered aid to the victim, who is described as a 59-year-old man.
