Sexual Assault Charge Against Former Rochester Woman Dismissed

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A criminal complaint filed against a former Rochester woman accusing her of criminal sexual conduct has been dismissed.

Court records show the Olmsted County Attorney's Office filed the motion for dismissal in the case of 32-year-old Eleanor Queen Olson today. It indicates that "after diligent review of additional information and discovery provided to the State subsequent to charging the complaint, there is now insufficient evidence for the State to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.

The now-dismissed complaint alleged that Olson, who now lives in California, had sexually assaulted a man on five different occasions while he was a minor. The court document indicated a man approached Rochester Police with the allegation in the fall of 2022 and claimed the alleged assaults began when he was less than 13 years old in 2006 after his family had moved to Rochester from overseas.

According to the complaint, Olson was 19 years old at the time. The felony charge was filed against her in June of last year. The motion to dismiss the charge does not detail the nature of the additional information that was provided to prosecutors.
