Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Rochester

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the Rochester area.
It is in effect until 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Lake City, Zumbro Falls, Mazeppa, Millville and Oronoco are among the communities included in the warning with Rochester.
The main hazards include 60 mph winds and up to quarter-sized hail.
Minnesota Disaster Survival Kit
The City of Rochester has provided info on how to build a disaster survival kit and says it should contain the items listed below.
"To assemble your kit store items in airtight plastic bags and put your entire disaster supplies kit in one or two easy-to-carry containers such as plastic bins or a duffel bag."
