Passenger Killed in Head-on Crash With Semi on Slushy Minnesota Highway
Laporte, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash on a slushy highway claimed the life of a Minnesota woman on Wednesday.

The State Patrol responded to the crash around 12:15 p.m. A car and semi collided head on.
Three people were involved in the fatality. It happened on a two-lane road about 10 miles west of Walker in northern Minnesota’s Hubbard County.
Young Minnesota Woman Killed in Head-on Crash With Semi
The state crash report indicates a car was traveling north on Hwy. 64 when it lost control in the slush and entered the southbound lane. The car then collided head on with an oncoming semi in the opposite lane.
20-year-old Lillian Marie Laforge lost her life at the scene of the deadly collision. The International Falls woman was the passenger in the vehicle.
22-year-old Jared Andrew Wold of International Falls was identified as the driver. He was taken to a hospital in Bemidji for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The truck driver, identified as 49-year-old Chad Michael Smith of Leonard, MN was not hurt.
Laforge and Wold were not buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash, according to the report.
