Hwy. 52 to Close in Both Directions at I-90 from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) says Hwy. 52 will be closed in both directions at Interstate 90 to allow crews to set the final bridge beams for the new westbound I-90 overpass. Crews demolished the old I-90 overpass earlier this year.

MnDOT says Hwy. 52 will close at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4 and is set to reopen by 9 p.m. the same day.

Motorists wishing to continue south on Hwy. 52 will be rerouted to eastbound I-90 using the new flyover ramp at the interchange. From I-90 drivers will take the Olmsted County Rd. 7/Hwy. 42 exit near Eyota and return to southbound Hwy. 52 via County Rd. 7.

Northbound Hwy. 52 motorists will follow the same route to I-90 and will be directed to northbound Hwy. 63 in Stewartville. Drivers can then reconnect with northbound Hwy. 52 in Rochester.

Northbound Hwy. 52 traffic is being re-routed to Stewartville due to the ongoing closure of the westbound I-90 ramp to northbound Hwy. 52.
