
State Patrol Reports Three Injured in Two SE Minnesota Wrecks
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Three people were transported to St. Marys Hospital on Friday with injuries suffered in two separate crashes in southeastern Minnesota.
The first crash was reported just before 2 p.m. on Highway 61 in Red Wing. The State Patrol says a truck traveling south on Goodhue County Road 18 struck a guardrail and rolled at the intersection with Highway 61, about two miles south of Treasure Island Casino.
State Patrol: Seatbelts Worn, Alcohol Not a Factor
The driver of the truck was identified as 51-year-old Lamont Jones of Eagan. He was transported to Rochester for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The second crash, which also involved a straight truck, occurred along Highway 60 near Wanamingo. The State Patrol says the truck was traveling north on Goodhue County Road 1 when it collided with a passenger vehicle traveling west on Highway 60 around 2:15 p.m.
Both occupants of the passenger vehicle were transported to St. Marys Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The State Patrol identified the driver as 67-year-old Lois Cummings of Northfield. Her passenger was identified as 71-year-old Ione Hill, also of Northfield.
Separate Crashes in Goodhue County Leave Three Injured
The driver of the truck was identified as 67-year-old David Clarance Jackson of Eagan. He was not injured.

The State Patrol says all of the people involved in the two crashes were wearing seatbelts, and alcohol was not a factor.
