
Three Injured in Crash on Highway 52 in Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that snarled traffic on a section of Highway 52 in northwest Rochester this morning.
Traffic Temporarily Stopped by Crash
The State Patrol says the crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 52 at the 37th Street Northwest interchange. The crash report indicates a pickup was merging into traffic from the 37th Street Northwest entrance ramp when it collided with a van.
3 Men Transported to Hospital
Both drivers and the passenger in the pickup were transported to St. Marys Hospital. The driver of the pickup was identified as 40-year-old Aweil Maciec, and his passenger was 18-year-old Battelo Bona. Both men are from Rochester and suffered what the State Patrol described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the van also sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the collision. He was identified as 30-year-old James Garway of Rochester. His passenger was not hurt.

The State Patrol crash report indicates all four men were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
