Well, this sounds super fun.  It's been 20 years since the first Devil Wears Prada came out.  It doesn't seem like it's been that long, but yes, here we are.  And now, the sequel is scheduled to come out on May 1st.

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 IS COMING IN MAY WITH ORIGINAL CAST

The sequel is bringing back most of the original cast, at least the core four.  Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly, Anne Hathaway as Andy, Emily Blunt as the snarky Emily Charlton and Stanley Tucci as Nigel.  The sequel focuses on Miranda Priestly's career as the print industry declines.

THERE ARE SOME GREAT PROMOTIONAL ITEMS GOING ALONG WITH THE RELEASE

The super cool part of this sequel is what they are putting out for merchandise in promotion of the film.  This is, of course, while supplies last.  The movie industry has been creating some special popcorn buckets for certain movies.  Some were a hit and some were a bit questionable; like the popcorn bucket for Dune that looked like a butthole - sorry, but it did.  This time, the popcorn bucket is in the shape of a handbag.  Nice!

And as you can see, not just the handbag.  There are several other items that could be available as well.  Maybe collect all of them, if that's your jam.  I'm just glad that the popcorn bucket is easily accessable.  Not one wants to get their hand stuck when you are just trying to get some popcorn to enjoy during the flick.

CAN YOU PRE-ORDER THESE ITEMS OR IS IT FIRST COME FIRST SERVED

The movie comes out on May 1st, but generally there are some pre-screenings on March 31st.  That may happen late at night before the 1st.  If you really want to see the movie, and be assured of getting some or all of the promotional items, you might want to get there as early as possible.  Some of these items may be available beforehand if you buy your tickets in advance.  Always worth it to check with the theatre when you purchase your tickets.
