Recently I have been traveling quite a bit for some reason.  And I have gotten the security checkpoint down to a science.  I can't stand beeping or having to empty this, that or the other thing when you go through security.  No belts, bling or metal things on anything I'm wearing.  Not that I have anything that would be confiscated, but I just don't want to have to redress anything.  So I wear stuff with no pockets, plain shoes, basically no jewelry, etc  Easy peasy.

I'm always surprised at the amount of people who try and bring odd and not acceptable things through airport security.  Luckily, now they have stopped the remove your shoes policy.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE THINGS THAT MSP AIRPORT TSA HAS FOUND

Firearms

Now, you can bring these things, like if you are going on a hunting trip.  There are certain protocols that need to be followed, and you cannot bring them on board with you.  They have to be checked.  TSA in Minneapolis found two instances of this in one day in June of last year.  And they were both loaded!!!

Here are some others.

There were also some items that people just seemed t leave behind - sometimes you might wonder how that would happen.  And some I would guess would be totally unintentional.

HERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN LEFT BEHIND

CPAP machine.  I would assume that was unintentional.  Those things are expensive.

Prosthetic Leg.  I HOPE that would be unintentional.  That was found in the Lost and Found at the airport.  How do you misplace that??

Gorilla Costume.  Ummm..... I hope it was Halloween.

Full Wine Bottle. Did you think you didn't have to check that?  If you are planning on consuming that at the airport, you need to do that BEFORE the TSA security check.  Or put it into your checked bag.

Sports Equipment.  Most of that has to be checked too.  Hockey sticks, for instance could be used as a weapon.

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
