
SCTCC’s Summer Camps Teach Cooking, Robotics & Much More
When I was a kid, I couldn't wait for the end of school, just so I could find some fun summer classes to enjoy.
Well, 'Summer School' is different these days than when I was a kid. Now, you have a few more options, and surely there is something that you truly enjoy available for you. Through SCTCC's summer camp programs, the possibilities are endless!
ENJOY HANDS-ON ENGAGING OPPORTUNITIES THIS SUMMER
If you’re already starting to think about how to keep the kids busy this summer, St. Cloud Technical & Community College has a great lineup of camps that go beyond the usual. These are hands-on, engaging, and give students a chance to try something new, whether it's cooking, building, robotics, or even exploring future careers. Here’s a look at what your kids might want to get involved with this summer:

BLUEPRINT TO BUILD CAMP (Grades 7–12)
This camp is perfect for students who like working with their hands or want to see how things are made. Participants will explore construction and manufacturing through hands-on activities in electrical work, welding, plumbing, robotics, and design programs.
June 15–17
Cost: $155
CULINARY CAMP (Grades 7–12)
Students will step into the kitchen and learn real cooking skills in the college’s culinary lab. They’ll get comfortable with kitchen tools, learn techniques, and even make pasta and sauces from scratch.
July 29–30
Cost: $105
This camp is currently full, but you can join the waitlist.
SCRUBS CAMP (Grades 7–12)
This is a unique opportunity for students interested in healthcare careers. It’s a collaboration with CentraCare and St. Cloud State University, giving students hands-on experiences in areas like nursing, lab sciences, and more. There are also field trips and chances to learn directly from professionals.

OTHER SUMMER STORIES: Trace Adkins Coming To ‘The Ledge’ July 10th, 2026
STAR CAMP – Students, Technology, and Robots (Grades 3–6)
This camp introduces younger students to robotics and technology in a fun way. Kids will build robots and use them in a game-style challenge, ending with a demonstration and competition for family and friends.
Camp 1 (little to no experience):
July 6–9, $125 — currently full, waitlist available
Camp 2 (experienced students):
Aug. 3–6, $125
TOOLS CAMP (Grades 4–6)
A great introduction to tools and hands-on skills. Students will learn the names of common tools, how to use them safely, and build confidence along the way.
July 15 (8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.)
Cost: $55
CYCLONES VOLLEYBALL CAMP (Grades 6–8)
This camp focuses on the fundamentals of volleyball, including passing, setting, hitting, and teamwork. It’s led by SCTCC coaches and players and takes place at the Whitney Center. Participants will also receive a t-shirt.
June 23–25 (9–11:30 a.m.)
Cost: $90
THE WATER PROJECT (Grades 7–12)
Students will learn about the importance of clean and safe water and how it impacts both communities and the environment.
June 22–23
Cost: $105
WHEELS AND WINGS CAMP (Grades 7–12)
This camp gives students a hands-on look at transportation careers, including auto body, diesel, and aircraft maintenance. There’s also a tour of a local transportation company included.
June 8–11
Cost: $205
