Faster Lines? That’s The Hope As Peachey’s Brings Second Trailer To Minnesota State Fair

One of the longest lines the last few years at the Minnesota State Fair has been the one to get a donut from the light-blue trailer of Peachey’s Baking Company.

The delightfully light, delicious donuts quickly built a reputation as a must-stop place to go at the Great Minnesota Get-Together over the last couple of years, leading to long lines of people waiting to sink their teeth into one of their donuts.

I've had a couple of them over the last few years, and they are pretty phenomenal. While many people brave the long line (which does move pretty quickly, all things considered), there are plenty of people who probably see the line and walk right by, saying "not worth it".

I'd say it is worth the wait, but I get it. There's a lot to do at the fair. Waiting in a line is a hard sell, especially if you have kids, an impatient partner, or just want to get a lot of things in during your visit.

I've also been lucky and waited no longer than a half hour or so. I've heard of people waiting more than an hour. That can really test someone's dedication.

A week ago, Peachey's shared a video showing off a second trailer departing for Minnesota to serve up donuts at the Minnesota State Fair.

The Star Tribune explained in a recent article that the crazy-high demand for their donuts prompted them to build a second trailer to keep up with the demand that has exploded since making their debut 4 years ago.

Now, before you get to thinking they will have two different locations at the fairgrounds (which was also my first guess), it looks like that isn't the case.

Reporter Jeff Wagner from WCCO TV in the Twin Cities shared a photo earlier this week (seen below), showing off the arrangement of their two trailers.

The configuration has the two of them together in an L-shape in their usual location on the north side of Randal Avenue on the east side of Cosgrove Street, right outside the Progress Center and near the Fine Arts Center

The addition of the second trailer should help them turn out more donuts more quickly, as well as help them take more orders at once.

In theory, this should cut wait times in half, or even more. The second trailer is bigger than the original trailer, so I'd imagine they will have a lot of additional donut-making capabilities they haven't had the last couple of years.
