Minnesota Timberwolves Announce Free-To-Watch Games For 2026-2027 Season

The era of paid team streaming services is really in full force for Minnesota sports fans after what was once known as FOX Sports North, then Bally Sports North, and finally FanDuel Sports Network North, before the regional cable & satellite TV network shut down its Minnesota operations.

Just like the Minnesota Twins did for the last couple of seasons, the Timberwolves and Wild have worked with their respective leagues and other partners to develop new TV viewing platforms for fans.

At the center of all of them is a paid subscription streaming app dedicated to the team. While the Minnesota Twins and Wild have also worked out distribution deals with some cable and satellite providers to still allow for traditional viewing options, the Timberwolves announced they are going all-in on their new partnership with the streaming platform DAZN.

While fans can still see select national games on channels that carry NBA games, a vast majority of this season's Wolves games will only be available to fans via DAZN for either $19.99/month or $24.99/month, depending on whether you want the regular or "ultimate" plan.

The Timberwolves announced earlier today that some of their games will also be made available for free over-the-air on broadcast TV.

This is being done via a partnership with Twin Cities TV station KARE11, which will air 15 of the Timberwolves' 2026-2027 games during the regular season.

These games will be a simulcast of the DAZN game coverage that fans will be getting on the streaming platform.

Those 15 games are:

October 28 vs. Golden State at 7:00 pm

October 30 vs. LA Clippers at 7:00 pm

November 6 at New Orleans at 7:00 pm

November 12 vs. Dallas at 7:00 pm

December 18 vs. L.A. Lakers at 7:00 pm

December 21 vs. Phoenix at 7:00 pm

December 31 vs. Denver at 3:00 pm

January 7 at Toronto at 6:30 pm

January 14 at Chicago at 7:00 pm

January 22 at San Antonio at 8:30 pm

January 29 vs. Charlotte at 8:30 pm

February 7 vs. Utah at 2:30 pm

March 18 at Utah at 8:00 pm

March 26 vs. Orlando at 7:00 pm

April 9 at L.A. Lakers at 9:00 pm

For fans not in the KARE11 viewing area, the Timberwolves say these 15 games will also be available for free on the DAZN app and at dazn.com/Timberwolves within the team's coverage area, which includes all of Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota, and parts of Wisconsin and Kansas.
