Walmart Now Requires Receipts When Returning These 17 Items In Minnesota
Another holiday season has come and gone in Minnesota, and hopefully you had enough time to spend with the people you love the most, and now you're thoroughly enjoying the gifts you received.
That's likely the case for most people, but for others, January is also the time when you have to deal with returning some gifts for various reasons, such as them being the wrong size or it's something you'll never use.
If you need to return anything at Walmart, regardless of the time of the year, you'll be happy to know that you don't always need your original receipt to get it done. However, there are certain items where it's an absolute necessity.

What Is The General Return Policy At Walmart?
Walmart's general return policy offers a 90-day window for most items, requiring original packaging and receipt for a full refund, but with shorter periods for electronics (30 days), wireless phones (14 days), and specific Marketplace items (often 30 days), while some items like firearms, alcohol (where available), and gift cards are final sale or have restrictions; holiday purchases made between October through December will often have extended return periods until January 31.
If you don't have a receipt, you're not completely out of luck, as it's still possible to complete your return with a valid government-issued photo ID. Then, you'll typically receive store credit or a gift card for the item's current selling price.
