Now that it is basically August, it is probably safe to say fair season is here, right? I cannot wait for the Minnesota State Fair this year! I didn't get to go last year and really wanted to so I am even more excited than usual this year.

We all know that the Minnesota State Fair is iconic and a step above all the others. This isn't a matter of opinion: it's basically fact!

The big event has been named the best in the country by two different publications already this year. Now, it has scored yet another top title and this one might just be the best one yet.

What do you know? The Minnesota State Fair took the top spot! With Sweet Martha's and the stand selling a giant bucket of french fries, it is pretty much my dream when it comes to food. There is something for every craving.

According to Yelp, many of the reviews for the big Minnesota get-together mentioned eating something on a stick, helping it stand out. Minnesota had more than any other big fair. Are you even at a fair if you don't eat something on a stick?

Another thing that helped us stand out? Many fair-goers look for a fun deep-fried creation when going to a fair and no one does it like Minnesota. I mean, they basically deep fry everything there. Ha!

Last but not least, going to the Minnesota State Fair is more than just something to do: it is basically a cultural phenomenon from start to finish. And when it comes to food fare, we have hundreds of vendors and strange new items every year. What more could we ask for?
