It's time for some spring cleaning! The City Of Superior has announced the dates for free landfill days, and they have also shared the schedule for the annual Citywide Clean Up.

Free Landfill Dates Are Saturday, April 20th, and Saturday, April 27th

The City Of Superior's landfill will be open for extended hours on the last two Saturdays of April. The landfill will accept certain items without a fee from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm at the Mike Moccasin Road Location.

Items accepted for free on landfill days:

  • Household trash
  • brush
  • tires - 4 per residence, 18" or less
  • grass clippings and leaves

Things you will have to pay to dump:

  • Mattresses
  • Box Springs
  • The price is $25 each if dry and clean
  • The price is $30 each if damp, wet, or heavily soiled

Items not accepted at the landfill at anytime

  • Household Hazardous Waste
  • Fluorescent bulbs
  • recyclables,
  • electronics
  • appliances
  • batteries
  • motor oil

You must have proof of residency, it is only free for City of Superior residents. (ID With Superior Address qualifies, property tax statement with ID.)

Contractors and businesses aren't allowed. All items must be tied or bagged, and the load must be covered during transport to avoid littering and a fine.

Items NOT accepted during City-Wide Clean Up:

  • Mattresses and box springs,
  • Building construction or demolition materials
  • cardboard or recyclables
  • asbestos containing materials
  • tires
  • TVs and appliances
  • fluorescent bulbs
  • motor oil or car batteries

All items must be available for pickup by 7:00 AM on the scheduled day for pickup. Place the items in the area where your garbage can is picked up weekly.
