Somewhere in the near future there will be shelves of clearance Kirk Cousins cereal at Minnesota Hy-Vee stores.

The grocery store chain announced last week that it's selling limited edition Cousins CinnaMINN Snaps cereal that was created in partnership with the Julie and Kirk Cousins Foundation.

“Kirk Cousins is a true inspiration both on and off the field,” said Matt Nickell, group vice president, sports marketing for Hy-Vee in a press release. “His dedication to not only his team but also the Minnesota community is why we are excited to partner with him and the Julie and Kirk Cousins Foundation to launch this new cereal, while providing much-needed support for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities.”

The new cereal was expected to raise about $21,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities, but that was before the Vikings and Cousins have had their season explode in their face. Now they'll be lucky to sell any before Cousins is chased out of town.

“Since joining the Vikings, Julie and I have been embraced by Minnesotans and have seen first-hand the supportive nature of this community,” said Cousins in a press release. This quote was clearly given before the Vikings' 1-5 start to the 2020 season, not many Vikings' fans are embracing the struggling QB right now.
