It looks like we're in the middle of December right now with all the snow outside, it is insane! Sadly, there are people in Southern Minnesota who do not have the proper winter gear they need, and I am going to guess it won't be getting any warmer any time soon.

While you are digging around your closet to pull out that winter gear if you find anything that you and your family don't use anymore, consider donating it to someone in need in Southern Minnesota!

The Faribault Rotary International is hosting their 6th annual Faribault Community Winter Coat Drive! This coat drive is for kids winter gear, Pre-K through grade 12. According to their website, they are looking for clean, gently used coats, snow pants, hats, mittens, boots, and scarves.

There are many different locations where you can drop off your donations:

Faribault Chamber of Commerce
Reliance Bank in Faribault
Hometown Credit Union in Faribault
Hy-Vee Faribault
River Valley Church

The deadline to donate is coming up in just a couple of days. The last day to donate to the Faribault Community Winter Coat Drive is this Sunday, October 25th, so make sure to get those donations in!

If you know of other places that are accepting winter gear donations for those in need, we can chat on our free app, which you can download below.
