In a short release from the City of Faribault, there has been a change to this year's 4th of July fireworks. This year the fireworks are going to be shot off from the track in the grandstand area, rather than in years past at North Alexander Park.

Another piece of information for those attending the fireworks show this year is to remember to socially distance yourselves from others who chose to watch the fireworks from outside their vehicles.

The fireworks are scheduled to begin at 10 PM on the 4th of July.

This year due to COVID-19 many area communities are not having the usual community celebrations in honor of America's independence from England.

You can check out where you can see area fireworks on the 4th of July here.

In another note from the City of Faribault, the Buckham Memorial Library will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in honor of the 4th of July holiday. The library will reopen with 'Browse-N-Go' hours on Monday, July 6th.
