Red Wing, MN (KROC-AM News) - One of the two men accused of a violent home invasion near Cannon Falls last May has entered into a plea agreement.

33-year-old Aldray Young of Inver Grove Heights appeared in Goodhue County Court Monday and entered guilty pleas to two counts of first-degree aggravated robbery and one count of first-degree burglary. Kidnapping, additional burglary charges, and two counts of simple robbery were dropped under the terms of the deal with prosecutors.

Young and 30-year-old Terrell Schaeffer of St. Paul were accused of barging into the rural residence on May 21st and robbing the homeowners at gunpoint. The couple was left bound in their basement when the robbers left $2,500 in cash and gift cards, a number of guns, along with electronic devices and a variety of other property.

The criminal complaint says the evidence against the pair includes images from a DWI ignition interlock device installed in their vehicle. Investigators say it shows the men inside the vehicle with the victims’ house in the background and a timestamp indicating the recording was made about the time the crime occurred.

Young is scheduled to be sentenced on July 5th.
