St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - Minnesota’s governor has joined the fray over President Donald Trump’s zero-tolerance policy concerning illegal border crossings, which has resulted in about 2000 children being separated from their parents after attempts to cross from Mexico into the U.S. Governor Mark Dayton today announced he will refuse any request to deploy Minnesota National Guard personnel, equipment, or other resources to assist with immigration enforcement until the Trump Administration ends what he termed family separation policies.

“Minnesota has not been asked to send any National Guard personnel, equipment, or other resources to assist with immigration enforcement on our country's southern border. I will refuse to provide any such aid, until the Trump Administration stops its immoral and un-American ripping apart of immigrant families."

Minnesota Attorney General Lori Swanson earlier announced she had joined a group of Democrat Attorneys General in demanding a change of course by the President and describing the family separations as inhumane.
