The Faribault Police Department is in the process of trying to raise money for another canine unit to work with officer Thul and Chase. Hopefully soon Faribault Police Officer Marvin will have a new canine. The cost for a fully trained canine is more than $9,000. Then there are additional costs of converting the officer's car. If the officer is out of the car and threatened, the canine has to be able to exit the car to help his partner.

Thul and Chase stopped by Paddington's Feed and Seed in Faribault recently. Thul asked Deb if Paddington's would help with raising money for another canine unit. Deb was honored and said Paddigton's would help in any way they could. So, this Friday from 3-5PM, officers Thul, Marvin and Chase will be at Paddington's.

Everyone is invited to stop by Paddington's on Friday afternoon to meet Chase and officers Thul and Marvin. In addition, consider donating $30 to the campaign to raise money for another canine. For donating $30, you will receive a replica of Chase. I have one sitting on my desk a the studio. They would be a great stocking stuffer for Christmas, too. If you have questions, talk with Deb at Paddington's, just down the road from Harry Browns in Faribault.
